OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and the ability to manage various clinical tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to aid in patient management.
  • Assist in surgical procedures as needed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Manage inpatient care, including monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks).
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding family planning, addiction counseling, and other health-related topics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate billing and documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • A valid Physician Assistant license and certification from an accredited program.
  • Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management.
  • Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) processes is a plus.
  • Experience in inpatient settings or operating room (OR) environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to apply aseptic techniques in clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $108,000.00 per year
