OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive clinical experience across various settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, and outpatient clinics. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks is essential. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedural care, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Experience with specialized treatments such as Botulinum toxin administration and esthetic laser procedures is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Experience of at least 2 years is required.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history documentation
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging and laboratory data management systems
  • Administer medications and injections following aseptic techniques while ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with complex procedures such as suturing, catheterization, airway management, spinal taps, and cardiac catheterization
  • Manage acute pain and provide urgent care including triage in emergency room or urgent care settings
  • Coordinate discharge planning and post-acute care for hospitalized patients
  • Document clinical findings accurately in EMR systems like Epic and Cerner
  • Participate in clinical research trials and data collection initiatives to advance medical knowledge
  • Provide health coaching, addiction counseling, and family planning services as needed
  • Support infection control protocols and maintain sterile techniques during procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital environments such as Level I & II Trauma Centers, NICU/PICU, ICU, and nursing homes
  • Engage in patient education regarding disease management, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications

Experience

  • Prior experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or critical care environments is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks
  • Experience with acute care procedures such as ventilator management, IV infusion therapy, phlebotomy, dialysis support, and radiation therapy is preferred
  • Background in managing infectious diseases and participating in public health initiatives is advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and billing purposes is beneficial
  • Clinical research experience or participation in clinical trials adds value to the candidate’s profile
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and diagnosis

Pay: $109,901.91 – $128,355.00 per year
