Location:Lansing, MI (with travel to U of M Health Sparrow Lansing and U of M Health Sparrow Ionia locations)
Job Type:Full-time (4 days per week)
About Us:For over 25 years, Pain Management Center of Lansing has been a trusted provider of exceptional anesthesia and pain management services across the Greater Lansing area. Our multidisciplinary team includes four anesthesia pain management physicians, four OB physicians, and four nurse practitioners committed to delivering the highest level of care to our patients.
We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our expanding practice. This role will rotate between three locations:
- Pain Management Center of Lansing
- U of M Health Sparrow Lansing Pain Management Center
- U of M Health Sparrow Ionia Pain Management Center
Job Summary:The NP or PA will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions under the supervision of our physicians. You’ll work in a collaborative environment focused on patient care, interventional procedures, and personalized treatment modalities to improve function and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop individualized treatment and interventional pain management plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Provide limited medication management in accordance with company guidelines and state regulations, under the supervision of the acting physician
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Document and code encounters accurately in the EMR system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Maintain compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations set forth by the State of Michigan
Working Conditions:
- Four-day workweek (considered full-time)
- Outpatient clinical setting
- Travel between sites required (mileage reimbursed)
Qualifications:
- Licensed NP or PA in the state of Michigan
- National Board Certification
- Experience in Pain Management or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
