Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our team includes 175 radiologists, 30 advanced practice providers, and more than 175 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. What we do: We are the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. American College of Radiology has designated Corewell a Diagnostic Center for Excellence.
What we are looking for: We are seeking a full time Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work at our partner hospitals in collaboration with ARS radiologists. Services will be provided primarily at Corewell Health in Grand Rapids and surrounding regional Corewell Health sites.
The PA/NP will perform and interpret the results of various diagnostic studies and perform some interventional radiology procedures. The PA/NP will take pediatric call for fluoroscopy which is shared on a rotating basis amongst the team. The PA/NP will also interpret and report on bone densitometry studies, after the required qualification and training is completed.
The patient population served spans from pediatric to geriatric patients. Daily responsibility will vary by location and may also vary based on the department’s needs. Travel to regional sites is shared amongst the team. Scope of practice may be expanded and will require additional training at the discretion of ARS and based on additional needs of the hospitals we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various adult and pediatric fluoroscopic and IR procedures including GI/GU fluoroscopy, lumbar punctures/myelograms, arthrograms, arthrocentesis, pain injections, feeding tube exchanges, paracentesis, and thoracentesis, in collaboration with the IR/diagnostic radiology attending(s).
- Interpret and report bone densitometry studies.
- Accurately and efficiently document dictations in PACS.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA); OR graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Masters in Physician Assistant Studies or related field for PAs; OR Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice for NPs.
- Board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); OR board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the Pediatric Nurse Certification Board (PNCB).
- If NP- must be accredited to care for pediatric population.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
