We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our team and help us continue to provide exceptional care.
Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with our dermatology team to deliver outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will have prior dermatology experience and a strong understanding of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of skin conditions, performing minor surgical procedures, and providing cosmetic treatments as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and skin examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
- Perform minor dermatologic surgical procedures, including punch and shave biopsies.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, preventative skin care, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with dermatologists and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Stay up to date with the latest dermatology treatments, procedures, and advancements.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Michigan.
- National certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
- Minimum of 2 years of dermatology experience preferred.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a variety of dermatological conditions.
- Experience performing dermatologic procedures and/or administering cosmetic treatments is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
