Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Position Overview
Hazel Park and Ferndale Urgent Care clinics are seeking licensed and certified Physician Assistants (PA-C) to join our fast-paced, patient-centered team. We welcome both new graduates ready to begin immediately and experienced PAs seeking a rewarding role in urgent care medicine.
As a Physician Assistant, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions while promoting wellness and preventive care. You’ll work closely with supervising physicians and clinical support staff to ensure top-tier care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA Certification (PA-C)
- Valid Michigan PA License
- BLS Certification
- DEA License (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- NRCME (DOT) Certification – Preferred but not required
- Must be able to start as soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to evaluate and determine overall health status
- Diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions and formulate evidence-based treatment plans
- Administer medications and injections, including managing acute pain, in compliance with HIPAA and safety standards
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging
- Provide triage and critical care support in urgent care settings, applying knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, and preventive care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Develop and support individualized health coaching and care management plans
- Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ensure adherence to all applicable medical protocols, infection control policies, and regulatory compliance
