The PA/NP position will be for our new Mobile Clinic!

We are seeking a new full-time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner. Provides primary and urgent health care to patients following standards of practice in a mobile clinic setting. Works collaboratively with physicians. Actively participates as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team. Promotes the mission and philosophy of providing quality health care and related services to the medically underserved. Upholds and ensures compliance with and attention to all corporate policies and procedures, as well as the mission and values of the organization.
What You Will Do
· Maintains the standards of medical care.
· Uses the health center’s electronic health record to effectively document patient care activities. Fully and accurately completes patient records in a timely manner so patients receive a summary of their visit upon discharge, to satisfy program clinical requirements, and to facilitate billing. Captures all charges, records diagnoses and provides adequate instructions for receptionists to know if and when to have patients return.
· Consults with physician and requests referrals when appropriate.
· Prescribes medications in accordance to pre-established delegated prescriptive authority, and documents all pertinent information.
· Assesses patient, and when appropriate, the family’s psychosocial, emotional, physiological and environmental needs and priorities.
· Is familiar with governmental rules and regulations that pertain to billing and coding for clinical services, as well as OSHA, CLIA, Universal Precautions, etc.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and eligible for or currently certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in addition to being licensed by the State of Michigan.
· Current licensure as a PA or PA-C in the State of Michigan
· Evidence of professional growth (CEU’s) consistent with licensure requirement for State of Michigan
· BLS Certification
· ACLS recommended
· Federal DEA License
· Valid driver’s license, willing to acquire a chauffer’s license. Must be able to meet the required insurance requirements to drive the mobile clinic.

· Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional physician assistants to provide ongoing patient care.
· Must be able to perform a variety of basic skills according to patient care needs and apply skills for patient care role.
· Able to organize, prioritize and manage time (hours may vary).
· Skill in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
