About Us: Joel Wellness Clinic is a leading primary care and weight-loss clinic dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients. Led by Binju Joel, MD, FOMA, our team specializes in various aspects of obesity management and primary care services for patients ages 15 and older.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our patients. Please note that this is currently a PART TIME position only.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Should be willing to work in both Ann Arbor and Livonia locations.
- Perform routine medical procedures, including but not limited to physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and therapeutic interventions
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Do body composition and evaluate the findings for weight loss patients (training will be provided)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and outcomes
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Michigan
- Experience in internal medicine or primary care setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care with compassion and empathy
