Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in psychiatry to join a Psychology & Wellness practice to bring a holistic approach to our patients/clients. . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care and a passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges. Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
– Monitor patients’ progress and response to ketamine therapy and medication management, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes and minimize risks
– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice guidelines- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and in compliance with state regulations- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Qualifications:- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in MI- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in psychiatry preferred, as well as proficiency in IV administration- In-depth knowledge of pharmacology and evidence-based practice guidelines and willingness to grow into role that may include Ketamine therapy after med management is established- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $60.00 – $95.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
