Full Job Description
We are seeking to hire additional part-time staff, an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) or experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP-C), as support staff in the management of patient’s care. A full-time position may be available at the time of your request (please indicate preference). The provider should be patient focused, competent and have both primary/urgent care experience with a diverse population, treating both adult and pediatric patients. While there is a physician on site, the provider shall be able to work independently with the support staff on some days of the week and with remote consultation, if necessary.
The PA-C or NP-C along with the Staff Physician will provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions. It is essential for the PA-C/NP-C to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary. The provider shall be competent with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and with preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays. Knowledge of the coding and billing process is helpful. CAQH identification number is necessary for credentialing and EMR (Practice Fusion) experience is preferred.
Plan of Care will be based on current guidelines and in consultation with the participating physician.
