This role focuses on the perioperative management of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, surgical first assist responsibilities, patient rounding, evaluations, and postoperative treatment planning. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, highly specialized surgical team in a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room environment. Weekend coverage and on-call availability are required. Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of one year of cardiothoracic operating room experience. CertificationPA: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Required CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) – requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required (may be obtained after hire)DEA / Controlled Substance LicensurePA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
