Above & Beyond Pediatrics is a well-respected, busy pediatric practice with locations in Waldorf, MD and Largo, MD. Duties:
– Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents.
– Conduct physical examinations and medical assessments to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions.
– Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs and medical guidelines.
– Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
– Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
– Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and DME to document patient information accurately.
– Stay updated on current medical practices, standards, and guidelines in pediatric medicine.

Requirements:
– Physician Assistant Degree/Certification from an accredited medical school.
– Valid state medical license to practice as a physician assistant.

– Up-to-date CPR, ALS, or PALS certification.
– Knowledge of pediatric medicine, including growth and development milestones, common childhood illnesses, age- and condition-appropriate pharmacology, and routine immunizations.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and their families.
– Ability to provide health coaching and counseling to families to promote healthy habits and preventive care.
– Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, or similar and ability to learn a new EHR system quickly.
– Ability to perform outpatient pediatric-specific procedures.

– Timeliness in charting and willingness to learn appropriate coding for pediatric visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
