CSWD is a leading healthcare facility specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary:

As a Physician Assistant at CSWD, you will play a pivotal role in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with sleep disorders. Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, sleep technologists, and support staff, you will provide expert care to improve the sleep health and overall well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and sleep-related evaluations.

Interpret diagnostic sleep studies, such as polysomnography (PSG) and home sleep apnea tests (HSAT).

Collaborate with physicians to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

  • Treatment Planning and Management:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.

Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and other interventions for sleep disorders.

Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications and sleep hygiene practices.

  • Follow-Up and Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.

Monitor patients’ progress and make referrals to specialists when needed.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Patient Advocacy and Support:
  • Offer empathetic and compassionate care to patients and their families.

Address patient concerns and provide emotional support throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications:

A current PA license in Maryland is required (Virginia and DC licenses are not required but will be required after hire).

Experience in sleep medicine or a related field is preferred but not required.

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
