Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Colorectal Surgery and Diverticulitis Center, Worcester, MA
The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our team. This role will provide care for colorectal surgery patients and support the UMass Memorial Diverticulitis Center.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about clinical care, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support our mission of providing expert, compassionate healthcare.
Position Details:
- Provide care for new and post-op patients in an outpatient setting, performing minor procedures in the clinic.
- Triage referrals, educate patients, and work closely with the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain and manage the diverticulitis patient database.
- Engage in community outreach, promoting awareness and education around the UMass Memorial Diverticulitis Center.
- Four 10-hour shifts per week with dedicated administrative time, no holidays, on-call duties, or weekends
Position Qualifications:
- Master or Doctoral degree from an NP or PA accredited program and board certification is required.
- Massachusetts Medical license
Experience/Skills:
- Prefer 1-3 years of clinical experience. Willing to consider new graduates.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
