Lynn Urgent Care/Woburn Urgent Care are located in Lynn, MA & Woburn, MA and are looking for part and full time Advanced Practice Providers (both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners). Our staff is composed of a team specially trained in emergency, family, or urgent care medicine, and includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, radiology technologists and certified medical assistants under the supervision and direction of two medical directors (Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine). Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants will be working independently however the Medical Directors will always be on call for any further assistance. We provide a very competitive salary for full & part-time mid-levels. No night coverage or on-call required. Benefit package for full-time providers to include paid time off, medical, and bonuses. Malpractice insurance is provided for all clinical providers. Opportunities for management and leadership also available.
Job Summary:
- Assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. Mentor for clinical personnel at the clinic. Liaison with company contact personnel, including Managing Director and Medical Directors. Can perform independently or as part of a treatment team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for children and adults.
- Educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments.
- Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.
- Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients.
- Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age.
- Mentor and supervise medical assistants and techs.
- Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Active participation in the development/review of office policies and procedures.
- Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- PA/NP –Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program/NP program, in Emergency or Family Practice
- Appropriate Massachusetts licensure as well as Board certification
- Maintain current BLS/ACLS certification
- 1-3+ years of clinical patient care experience in a hospital / LTAC setting, highly desirable
- Strong critical care or ER experience highly desirable
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
- Spanish/Russian language skills highly desirable but not required
