Schedule (Shifts and Hours)
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Hospital-Based (Inpatient)
Requirements
- Active MA License
- AANP or NCCPA Certification
- BLS Certification
- Copy of NPDB self-query (must be pulled within 30 days)
- COVID Vaccination
- Urology experience is required (1 year min)
Procedures and Responsibilities
- Conduct inpatient rounds and provide direct patient care in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform urologic assessments, including history and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to urology (e.g., urinalysis, imaging studies)
- Assist with inpatient procedures such as catheter placements, stent management, and bladder irrigations
- Provide perioperative support including pre-op and post-op evaluations
- Manage acute urologic conditions such as urinary retention, hematuria, and infections
- Document patient encounters and maintain compliance with hospital standards
