We have 13 physicians consisting of Orthopedic Surgeons, Spine Surgeon, Hand Surgeon, Interventional Physiatry and Podiatric Surgeons. We also currently have 6 Physician Assistants.
Full job description
Orthopedics New England is currently recruiting a full-time experienced Physician assistant to work with our Spine Department and assist our Spine Surgeon in OR cases. Working under the supervision of the Surgeon, you would be providing clinical support, provide in office patient care and be the 1st surgical assist in the Operating rooms.
Responsibilities include:
- Functioning as first or assistant in the operating room at a variety of locations including; Newton Wellesley Hospital, Framingham Union Hospital, Milford Hospital and our surgical suite here in Natick.
- Performing minor procedures as approved by the Regulatory Board, (under the direction and supervision of the attending physician); including but not limited to, injections, some suturing and post op care. In clinic time would also consist of you having your own patient schedule, review x-ray, clinical test ordering (MRI’s, CT, etc), pre-operative care such as completing history and physicals and screen related test results, deal with patient calls/gateway messages.
Requirements:
- The Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of Orthopedic/Spine surgery experience.
- Must be a graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program in addition to Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred.
- Must have current valid Massachusetts license
- MA CSR
- Federal DEA.

Pay: $130,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
