Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Urgent Care

In this role, you will:

  • Provide appropriate health care and teaching to patients and their families.
  • Excel in providing high quality care for patients, driven by data, and inspired by our relationships with patients and their families.
  • Participate in organization provided continuing education on an ongoing basis, including a subscription to Up to Date.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Assess and treat acute non-life-threatening medical conditions and assist with referring to higher levels of care when appropriate.
  • Close lacerations with sutures, staples, or dermabond as appropriate.
  • Perform incision and drainage of abscesses
  • Perform wedge resection of toenails when appropriate
  • Perform foreign body removal when clinically appropriate for an urgent care setting
  • Oversee intravenous medication and therapies
  • Oversee the splinting of fractures and musculoskeletal injuries

Experience:

1-2 years of urgent care or ED experience preferred.

Proficiency with the above procedures.

Experience with primary care is helpful.

The successful applicant will offer:

  • Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Massachusetts license for the practice of medicine
  • CPR certification.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
