Role: Physician Assistant
Location: Gardner, MA
Fulltime/Permanent
Responsibilities:
Provide primary care to patients of all ages.
Work with doctors, nurse practitioners, and psychologists.
Perform physical exams and diagnose illnesses.
Manage patient care and treatments.
Prescribe medication and treatment plans.
Refer patients to specialists when needed.
Supervise nursing and support staff.
Follow clinic policies and safety standards.
Participate in health education and prevention programs.
Order lab tests and other diagnostic tests.
Coordinate patient care and referrals.
Develop educational materials for patients and staff.
Help set nursing standards and practices.
Observe and record patient symptoms and progress.
Know the legal and ethical standards of medical care.
Be familiar with medications and how to prescribe them.
Maintain quality and safety in patient care.
Stay informed about current medical practices.
Share on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Licensed MD/DO, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.
Certified to practice in an expanded role in Massachusetts.
Certified in CLS or CPR/AED.
3-5 years of nursing experience in a specialty area.
Good vision for observing patients’ health changes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,138.00 – $180,600.00 per year
