Full Job Description

Overview: You will work under the supervision of a physician as part of a team that cares for urgent care patients. Your duties will include examining and treating patients, diagnosing their conditions, prescribing medication, and arranging for follow-up care and specialist referrals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care to patients of all ages.
  • Work with doctors, nurse practitioners, and psychologists.
  • Perform physical exams and diagnose illnesses.
  • Manage patient care and treatments.
  • Prescribe medication and treatment plans.
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed.
  • Supervise nursing and support staff.
  • Follow clinic policies and safety standards.
  • Participate in health education and prevention programs.
  • Order lab tests and other diagnostic tests.
  • Coordinate patient care and referrals.
  • Develop educational materials for patients and staff.
  • Help set nursing standards and practices.
  • Observe and record patient symptoms and progress.
  • Know the legal and ethical standards of medical care.
  • Be familiar with medications and how to prescribe them.
  • Maintain quality and safety in patient care.
  • Stay informed about current medical practices.
  • Share on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed MD/DO, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.
  • Certified to practice in an expanded role in Massachusetts.
  • Certified in CLS or CPR/AED.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience in a specialty area.
  • Good vision for observing patients’ health changes.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
