Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to patients, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and the ability to administer and write medications to both children and adults. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning across various settings.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer medications and perform procedures as needed.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Document patient encounters accurately using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
- Participate in hospital rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical practices, procedures, and technologies relevant to patient care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Valid MA state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- 2 years’ experience in medication administration and familiarity with hospital medicine practices.
- Proficiency in data collection techniques for effective patient assessment.
- Experience or interest in senior care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with operating rooms (OR) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
