Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals. This position requires a strong commitment to patient health and well-being, as well as the ability to perform a variety of medical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: 32 hours you can work two 12-hour shifts and 8-hour shift or 36 hours 3–12-hour shifts or you can set up your schedule
Will travel to the various Outpatient clinics.. – Worcester County— Go to company site for various locations!!
Duties:As a Physician Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough physical examinations and obtaining detailed medical histories from patients.
- Managing medical records efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information.
- Utilizing ICD-9 coding for proper billing and insurance purposes.
- Performing airway management procedures as needed for patient safety.
- Administering IV infusions and monitoring patients during treatment.
- Providing care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assisting with tube feeding and other aliment-related procedures for patients requiring nutritional support.
- Delivering critical care services in emergency situations, collaborating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
- Educating patients on their health conditions and treatment plans, promoting overall wellness.
Experience:Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Experience or training in critical care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and coding practices (ICD-9).
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations and airway management techniques.
- Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage and patient education regarding its application.
- Previous experience in managing infectious diseases and providing tube feeding support is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Licensed required
- Certified in Massachusetts to practice in the expanded role as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required
- Certified in CPR/AED or equivalent.
- Urgent Care experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in occupational health a plus but not required
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work alone but with physician consultation availability
- Demonstrated mastery of a specialty area or other related field normally acquired by 3-5 years progressively responsible nursing experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
