AOverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in clinic and a virtual hybrid role. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to perform various clinical procedures. Your role will encompass providing wellness optimization through an integrative and holistic approach.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Assist in diagnosing and treating patients under the supervision of a nurse practitioner.
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, placing IV catheters, various aesthetic injections as needed.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program. Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control protocols.
- Experience in hospital settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while adhering to ethical standards.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
