Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and interested hand and wrist Physician Assistant with a strong work ethic to join our orthopedic team. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited PA program and possess a current PA-C certification. Newly certified PAs are welcome to apply. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our orthopedic hand and wrist surgeon, providing comprehensive care to patients with hand and wrist conditions. This will be a 5-day per week, clinic-based position with minimal OR time. There will be extensive opportunity to gain experience with injections, casting, and splinting. Training will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school for Physician Assistants.
  • Licensure: Certification by the Board of NCCPA and current/active licensure in the State of Massachusetts as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current/active Certification of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Experience: 0-5 years of orthopedic experience, including hand and wrist.

CLINIC

  • Perform physical exam, follow-up visit, post-operative visit, and other types of visit considered appropriate under state regulations.
  • Order/perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedure such as X-ray, MRI, CT, bone scan, etc.
  • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging results.

The ideal candidate would be someone who can thrive in a team setting and make those around them better. We are looking for someone who is upbeat and comfortable with a fast paced, high volume orthopedic clinic. There may be circumstances where coverage is needed in our other locations (Brighton, Cambridge, Chestnut Hill and Waltham) so we value flexibility and a positive attitude.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and insurance benefits packages are available for full time employees. Call coverage is required approximately once per month and will be compensated separately from the base salary. Compensation is commensurate with experience. The general hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
