Job Description
Join a group of 3 Cardiac Surgeons, 5 Cardiac OR Physician Assistants, and a team of 10 inpatient and outpatient Cardiac Surgery APPs who provide cutting-edge care to patients across the state. UM SJMC Cardiac Surgery program is a leader is Cardiac Enhanced Recovery after Surgery.
This role will first and second assist in cardiac surgery cases. 4-10 hour shifts per week with night and weekend call.
Qualifications
Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner/Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) is required.
Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioners with RNFA or Physician Assistant is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is required.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification is required.
Maryland Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.
