Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UMBWMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well established Neurology practice in our outpatient clinic, located on BWMC’s campus in Glen Burnie, MD.

Job Description

  • Looking to add a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to help support a group of three Neurologists
  • Responsibilities will include full scope of outpatient neurology services but not limited to: Follow ups for stable neurology patients; see the occasional urgent ad on appointments; responsible for all neurology patient calls during office hours, refilling prescriptions and paperwork as needed.
  • Our Neurologist outpatient services include EMGs, EEGs, migraines, dementia, stroke, seizures, Parkinson’s and other neurological disorders.
  • Efficient, collaborative, team of physicians, nurses, medical staff support.

  • Ideal schedule is Monday through Friday, No weekends, No call requirements.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner educational program approved by the State Board of Licensing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Maryland required.
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
  • DEA and CDS eligible.
