A unique Urgent Care Practice with a focus on value-based care

Expanded diagnostics and service – cbc, cmp, cardiac enzymes, UA, ekg, xray with real-time reads), support staff to facilitate phlebotomy, starting IVs, splinting, and immediate access to physician consultation when you need it

Training provided on chronic care principals

Independent Management of Patients with a Doctor always available to discuss management

Robust Patient referral support, patients will always be seen within 24 hours if requested by Provider

Always closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, Weekend Hours till 5pm!*

Physician Assistant

Centennial Medical Group / FirstCall Medical Center

Purpose:

Physician Assistant who diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in the general population. May refer patients to specialists when needed for further diagnosis or treatment.

Tasks

· Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.

· Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients’ condition.

· Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.

· Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.

· Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.

· Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.

· Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.

· Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.

· Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care providers.

· Plan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illness.

Education:

Physician Assistant Certification; graduate from an accredited PA program and pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)

Experience:

3 Years’ experience upon completion of PA Program and Emergency Department or Urgent Care Experience

Knowledge:

Medicine and Dentistry – Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.

Psychology – Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Therapy and Counseling – Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.

The ideal candidate will have Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience and be able to independently manage acute and routine care. Candidates should have a passion for total health care for the patient as a whole, be empathetic and provide patient-centric care in an efficient manner.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $65.00 – $80.00 per hour
