## Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with mental health disorders. However, for candidates with great potential, willing to train in mental health.
## Responsibilities
– Responsible for providing outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
– Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and adolescents experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders.
– Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders as appropriate using best practices.
– Train in and provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Spravato services
– Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries.
– Counsel clients during appointments, as necessary.
– Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for clients as appropriate to diagnosis and monito behavioral health disorders.
– Provides patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations.
– Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others on client’s conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate.
– Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries as required.
– Return calls and emails promptly
– Respond to client emergencies
– Responsible for followiing and making decisions based on protocols and national guidelines for treatment interventions under supervision of a physician.
## Qualifications
– Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies
– Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program
– Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Maryland
– Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Maryland
– A state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Maryland
– Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)
– No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid)
– At least 1-2 years providing direct client care
– Able to document and navigate EHR independently

Pay: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
