Full Job Description
Overview: The Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Physician Assistant to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an outpatient practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patients in a GYN and OB clinic, ensuring high-quality care and support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage patients in both gynecological and obstetric clinics, handling GYN-related complaints, and conducting prenatal and postpartum visits.
- Perform physical examinations, including GYN exams, and diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, ultrasounds).
- Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribing medications per written agreements.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose conditions, and counsel patients on treatment options.
- Document patient encounters accurately, including history, assessments, and follow-up plans.
- Coordinate referrals for complex cases and report abnormal findings to physician colleagues.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification and Maryland PA license.
- 2+ years of experience in obstetrics or gynecology preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities.

Salary Range: Minimum 53.15 per hour – Maximum 82.38 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
