We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practictioner to join our busy Dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of dermatologists to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical skin conditions.
Dermatology at Mercy is offered in Downtown Baltimore at Mercy Medical Center as well as Mercy Personal Physicians sites around the Baltimore Metropolitan beltway. We currently serve Baltimore, Glen Burnie, Columbia, Lutherville, Overlea and Reisterstown.
Previous experience in Dermatology is required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, and reviewing diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex dermatologic conditions, such as psoriasis, acne, eczema, rosacea, and skin infections.
- Prescribe and manage topical, oral, and systemic medications, including biologics for chronic conditions.
- Provide patient education on skincare, preventive measures, and treatment plans to manage or alleviate symptoms.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform minor dermatologic procedures such as skin biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy as needed.
- Document all patient encounters and treatments accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed / graduated from an accredited Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program – Experience Required.
- License Requirements: Maryland PA License, Maryland NP Certification, DEA, CDS
- Certification Requirements: NCCPA, ANCC/AAN
- Must have current CPR/BLS certification.
- Must be computer literate or learn within 6 months.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to work efficiently and possess the ability to make decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- May be required to travel.
Min: USD $52.69/Hr. Max: USD $94.84/Hr. Benefits:
