Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Prescribe medications and treatments following HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, including injections, IV infusions, botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, and other advanced procedures.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, sonography, gastrostomy tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions including critical care cases like ICU or Level I Trauma Center scenarios; provide emergency room support when needed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to quality care for remote or underserved populations.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance healthcare practices within the organization.

Experience

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or urgent care centers.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for medical documentation and order entry.
• Strong background in performing complex procedures including IV insertions, venipuncture, airway management, catheterization, and aseptic techniques.
• Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable; familiarity with trauma protocols is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for accurate billing and documentation.
• Experience working with pediatric patients (including neonatal ventilators), geriatric populations (memory care/dementia), or individuals with developmental disabilities enhances your candidacy.
• Skilled in managing acute pain cases, hospice & palliative medicine scenarios, occupational health issues, and infectious disease care.
• Familiarity with advanced practice provider roles under collaborative practice agreements; ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration standards.

Pay: $50.00 – $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
