Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This direct hire opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician role based in Foxborough, Massachusetts, supporting a closed-door long-term care facility. The position requires strong pharmacy technician skills with a focus on managing controlled substances within a high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee control cage operations including inventory management and record-keeping.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations for controlled substances.
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing in accordance with prescriptions and protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and promptly report any discrepancies related to controlled substances.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient care.
- Participate in training and mentoring of new pharmacy staff.
- Help maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and clear MA Pharmacy Technician license.
- PTCB or NHA certification is required.
- Recent experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately managing roughly 600 prescriptions per day.
- Familiarity with Frameworks software preferred; training will be provided.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
- Alternating weekends, either 9:00 am – 5:30 pm or 11:00 am – 7:30 pm.
