Job Summary:Position: Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02139
Shift: Varied Shifts: Days/Evening
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Contract (Possible Extension)
Pay Package for 40 Hrs/Week:
- Weekly Gross: $3,481/wk
- Weekly Stipends: $2,681/wk
- Hourly Taxable: $20/hr on W2
Local Pay:
- Weekly Gross: $2,800/wk
- Hourly Rate: $70/hr on W2
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year of experience within specialty.
- Current AHA- BLS, ACLS and PALS.
- Active MA State RN License.
Duties
- Assess patient condition through comprehensive physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and physiological assessments to determine readiness for discharge from PACU.
- Administer medications including IV infusions and pain management therapies, ensuring precise medication administration following HIPAA and medical documentation standards.
- Manage airway patency using aseptic techniques and ventilator support when necessary, ensuring optimal respiratory function during recovery.
- Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and tube feeding while maintaining sterile processing protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized discharge plans, including patient education on post-operative care and wound management.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, adhering to NCQA standards for quality care.
Pay: Up to $3,481.00 per week
