Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient hosipatal and clinical. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate management plans.
- Perform triage for patients, prioritizing care based on urgency and severity of conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Provide critical care when necessary, ensuring timely interventions in emergency situations.
- Assist with family planning services as needed, offering guidance and support to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification in the relevant specialty area.
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in clinical or hospital medicine is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage and management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation purposes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
