Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Operating Room position requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and on-call availability.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Patient population includes neonates, adults, and geriatrics
- Day shift schedule: 4×10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call requirement of 3 call shifts every 4 weeks (2 weeknight call shifts and 1 weekend call shift — Saturday or Sunday)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Circulator experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; 3 years preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Experience with neonatal, adult, and geriatric patient populations required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Circulator experience required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Upon accepting the assignment, the unit manager may assign travelers to an emergency team with expectations to remain on-site or serve on a relief team during emergency events — candidates uncomfortable with this should not apply
