Full Job Description

Music City Physicians’ Group provides medical services to healthcare clinics, including the LGBTQ-focused primary care clinic, Chosen Family Medicine, and the nonprofit HIV prevention agency Music City PrEP Clinic. We are passionate about changing the face of healthcare in Louisville by providing access to biomedical interventions and services for sexual health and wellness. We serve our patients with a highly skilled, competent team who dedicate their time and expertise to see patients during convenient weekday and weekend hours. We accept insured and uninsured patients with affordable, low-cost or no cost services.
MCPG’s Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioner evaluate, plan and provide care for patients. The role maintains effective communication with patients, staff and other medical providers; provides patient care in a competent, professional and courteous manner; maintains working knowledge of current research, and incorporates relevant findings into specific areas of clinical practice. This is a full-time role and requires availability to work first shift on Saturdays, as well as two evenings each week until 7:30 p.m. but NO OVERNIGHT hours are needed.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Perform clinical procedures according to approved protocols
  • Perform a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: assessment, history and physical, recommendations for patient plan of care
  • Monitor patient progress
  • Maintain patient medical records according to established standards
  • Review patient records and care plans on a routine basis
  • Collaborate with other medical providers, facility staff members and other agencies as needed to ensure optimal care and use of resources for the patient/family
  • Work independently and interact as a team member with all levels of clinical staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal, written and electronic communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Education

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Physician Assistants
  • Unrestricted and unrevoked license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Tennessee
  • Current license
  • Current Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations IIIV for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
  • Current (CPR) certification
OR
  • Master’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Unrestricted and unrevoked licensed to practice advanced nursing in the State of Tennessee.
  • Current Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations III-V for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
  • Current (CPR) certification
