Aria Medical (AriaMedical.org) is a medication abortion clinic in Wichita Kansas, created for people traveling from states that ban abortion. The mission of Aria Medical is to provide timely, affordable safe and legal medication abortions. Everyone deserves to decide if and when to parent, regardless of geography.
Aria seeks part-time advanced practice clinicians to join our team. This role is responsible for providing dating ultrasounds and client education, working with the remote physician who orders the medication abortion. If Kansas law changes allowing advanced practice clinicians to provide abortions, training will be offered for interested candidates.
Essential Duties
· Performing first-trimester dating ultrasounds, using point-of-care mobile devices (mostly transabdominal, some transvaginal; prior experience with ultrasound helpful but not required)
· Providing patient education and ensuring smooth patient flow
· Fostering a culture of mutual support, team cohesion, and continuous improvement
· Orienting and training staff, supporting their ongoing learning and development
· Working with the medical director to update and improve clinical protocols
Experience and General Requirements
· Must wholeheartedly believe that abortion is essential health care and be committed to reproductive justice and equity.
· Must be an enthusiastic team player, treating all staff with respect, as equal partners in delivering high-quality, person-centered care – must be an empathetic listener and collaborator.
· Active clinical license in Kansas
· Basic comfort with technology – able to do basic problem-solving.
· First trimester US experience desired.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
