Who we are: Equipoise Healthcare is a multi-specialty pediatric practice in Wichita, KS with pediatric hematology/oncology and palliative care services, which has now expanded to include primary care, and rare disease consultation for kids. This is a public benefit medical practice, founded and managed by a physician, with the goal of delivering high quality pediatric care to the Midwest in a format that keeps kids as close to home as possible and reduces the burden on families.

Pediatric Physician Assistant Position Overview:
- Perform physical exams and assessments of pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and conditions
- Prescribe medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician
- Assist with other medical procedures
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
- Educate patients and families on health and wellness
- Document patient care in electronic medical records
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
Pediatric Physician Assistant Position Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification and state licensure
- Previous experience working in pediatrics and with children
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and their families
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- High level of empathy and patience in dealing with young patients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations (Spanish, Vietnamese etc.)
