Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in supporting both inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive medical attention throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities– Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.- Perform procedures such as administering injections, tube feeding, and ventilating patients as necessary.- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving from acute care settings to outpatient follow-up.- Provide health coaching to patients, educating them on their conditions and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.- Engage in clinical trials as needed, assisting with patient recruitment and data collection.- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a Level I Trauma Center to provide optimal care for trauma patients.- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings.

Qualifications– Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.- Experience in acute care settings preferred, with familiarity in discharge planning and outpatient care.- Proficiency in administering injections and managing tube feeding procedures.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong clinical judgment.
