Job Description: PRN Physician Assistant (PA) – EliteMed Mobile Health
Position Title: PRN Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: 527 N Mur-Len Rd Ste B Olathe, KS 66062 –
- Mobile Urgent Care, Greater Overland Park and Olathe, KS (Johnson County)
Hours of Operation: 8am-6pm daily
Employment Type: PRN/Casual
- We are guaranteeing 2 10 hour shifts a month
Compensation: $60 – $70/hour based on experience.

Position Summary: As a PRN Physician Assistant (PA) with EliteMed Mobile Health, you will be responsible for delivering urgent medical care to patients in a mobile setting. You will conduct patient assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, clinical expertise, and a passion for providing compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an amazing patient experience to everyone we serve and treat our fellow team members with kindness and respect.
- Provide urgent care services to patients in their homes, workplaces, or other remote locations, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic medical conditions, including minor injuries, infections, and illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work to support clinical decision-making.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending appropriate follow-up care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Athena (EMR).
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
- Stay current with medical advancements, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in KS.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a mobile care environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in mobile healthcare, home health, or similar settings.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Athena (EMR) experience is preferred but not required.
