Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Physician Assistants specializing in mental health for full-time positions in West Des Moines. In this pivotal role, you will perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and manage the treatment of mental health conditions, including detailed evaluations and medication management. You will work closely with our Medical Director to deliver compassionate and effective care, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as Alleviant Integrated Health’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed psychiatric evaluations to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing management of medications and psychotherapy as part of the treatment process.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated and patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, as well as internal company policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Valid and unrestricted PA license in the state of Iowa.
- Experience or strong interest in psychiatric and mental health care, with solid skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused and empathetic approach.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced work environment.
