Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for individuals with mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications according to best practices and state guidelines.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling using evidence-based techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Assist with Ketamine and Spravato® treatments as part of our clinic’s integrative offerings (training will be provided)
- We use IntakeQ as our EHR
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- or a Master’s degree and licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with psychiatric experience
- or a Board-certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO)
Additional requirements:
- Current licensure to practice in the state of Iowa
- Experience in psychiatry or mental health settings
- Interest in or experience with ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) and/or functional medicine is preferred
- Proficiency in vital signs assessment, BLS, and ACLS a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (we cannot sponsor employment visas)
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Expected Hours: 20–40 hours per week
- Schedule: Primarily in-person, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (flexibility to work outside these hours if desired or longer days for a shorter week
- No on-call or weekends.
