Full Job Description
We are a well-established, patient-centered medical pain management practice in Noblesville, Indiana, seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This role is ideal for a provider who values structured care, clinical excellence, and efficient workflows while delivering compassionate, evidence-based pain management.
OverviewThe NP or PA will work collaboratively with our physicians and clinical staff to evaluate patients, develop and manage individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing care for patients with chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, detail-oriented, organized, and able to stay on schedule in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and follow-up visits
Develop, implement, and manage individualized pain treatment plans
Manage medications responsibly with a strong understanding of: Controlled substances, Risk mitigation, Compliance with state and federal prescribing guidelines
Maintain complete, accurate, and detailed medical documentation in the EHR
Demonstrate working knowledge of ICD-10 coding and ability to appropriately match diagnoses to services for accurate billing
Stay on schedule while providing high-quality patient care
Complete daily charting, orders, and tasks by the end of each workday
Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams
Adhere to practice policies, regulatory standards, and pain management best practices
Required Qualifications
Active Indiana NP or PA license in good standing
DEA license (or ability to obtain)
Previous experience in pain management, primary care, orthopedics, neurology, or related specialty preferred
Strong understanding of: Chronic pain conditions, Medication management, Documentation and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment
Strong communication and patient education skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with EHR systems (E-Clinical Works preferred) and clinical workflows
Familiarity with urine drug testing, treatment agreements, and compliance protocols
Comfort managing a consistent patient schedule
Prior experience in a structured outpatient clinical setting
