Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

Job Type: Full-Time

Introduction: We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have experience in primary care and a passion for providing quality patient-centered care to individuals and families across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams, take health histories, and assess patients’ medical conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in patients of all ages.
  • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including lab work, imaging, and screenings.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, provide follow-up care, and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions within the scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, joint injections, etc.) as appropriate.
  • Educate and support patients and families in managing chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Maintain licensure and certifications in accordance with state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (FNP) or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Indiana.
  • DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Previous experience in family medicine or primary care preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with patient population in a family practice or primary care setting.
