About Apollo Pain Center

Apollo Pain Center, LLC is a small medical practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are professional, agile and innovative. We aim to provide the most comprehensive and compassionate treatment for a wide range of chronic pain conditions. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team.

Job Duties of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations on patients
  • Manage and coordinate care for patients with chronic illnesses or complex medical conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Perform nursing home visits and provide care to elderly patients
  • Administer IV infusions and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
  • Perform Botox injections for cosmetic or therapeutic purposes
  • Utilize ICD-10 and CPT coding systems to accurately document patient diagnoses and procedures
  • Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and effectively communicate with patients and colleagues
  • Order and manage durable medical equipment (DME) for patients as needed

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physical examination techniques and ability to interpret findings
  • 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient setting, preferably in pain management
  • Familiarity with prescription medications and management for pain
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and ability to navigate patient charts efficiently
  • Experience in nursing home settings, including knowledge of chronic pain care principles and regulations
  • Understanding of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding systems with ability to accurately document and code diagnoses and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain medical terms to patients in a clear manner
  • Competence in administering IV infusions, including proper technique and monitoring for complications
  • Experience in performing simple injections, including knowledge of dosage calculations and injection sites
  • Comprehensive understanding of interventional and comprehensive pain management principles, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common pain conditions
  • Ability to assess patient needs for DME and effectively order, coordinate, and manage equipment

  • SALARY NEGOTIABLE based on experience and desired number of hours

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $96,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
