Summary/objective
The Physician Assistant (PA) will work closely with a high-volume orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle conditions. This role includes direct patient care, assisting in surgery, and supporting patients through their treatment and recovery process.
Essential functions

- Conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical history, and document progress notes.
- Assist in diagnosing and treating foot and ankle injuries and conditions.
- First assisting in both inpatient and outpatient surgery settings.
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, post-surgical care, and rehabilitation programs.
- Coordinate patient care with the orthopedic team, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers.

Required education and experience
- NCCPA Certification
- Valid license in the state of IN
- Familiarity with EMR systems, NextGen experience helpful but not required
Preferred education and experience
- Three (3) years of experience of direct patient care in an outpatient orthopedic setting
Work environment
- Professional medical clinic and surgical settings.
Physical demands
- Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs.
- Moving patients, lifting and helping patients with needs, lifting and moving heavy x-ray equipment, transporting patients
- Frequently on your feet standing and walking
Travel required
- Travel between Carmel and Greenwood clinic locations
