We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded ortho spine PA to join our team and help scale the spine practice in the Edward-Elmhurst region. You will be the fifth provider on the spine team, working alongside two experienced spine surgeons and two seasoned spine PAs. This position offers a balanced mix of clinic independence and operating room involvement. You should be comfortable managing a substantial surgical and ambulatory volume and possess a mindset toward growth, practice development, and community outreach. The pay and benefits are competitive, and the environment is professionally satisfying.
Position Highlights:
Position: Ortho Spine PA
Location: Naperville, IL; Woodridge, IL; Elmhurst, IL
Full time position.
Hours: variable depending upon OR and clinic schedules
What you will need:
  • License: Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Education: Completion of an NCCPA certified PA program.
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Experience: Experience in ortho surgery, ortho spine, or neurosurgery preferred. Comfort with surgical assisting responsibilities, ideally prior spine OR experience.
  • Ability to manage high clinic volume and complexity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a genuine interest in practice-building and referral development
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Interest in academic/clinical scholarship is a plus.
What you will do:
  • Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experiences
  • Independently manage spine patients in clinic — initial evaluations, follow-up, preoperative planning, nonoperative care, injections, and postoperative follow-up
  • Assist in the operating room under spine surgeons, performing tasks commensurate with PA scope of practice
  • Participate actively in developing and executing growth strategies:
    • Collaborate with primary care, sports medicine, neurology, pain management, physical therapy, and other community partners
    • Engage in outreach, education, marketing, and relationship-building with referring providers
  • Support quality improvement, clinical protocols, outcomes tracking, and registry work
  • Contribute to scholarly or academic efforts (publications, presentations) if desired
  • Participate in departmental meetings, strategic planning, and operational initiatives
  • Uphold Endeavor Health’s values and mission in everyday patient care and community presence
Benefits:
  • Career Pathways to Promote Professional Growth and Development
  • Various Medical, Dental, and Vision options

  • Health Savings Account Options
  • Retirement Options with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay
  • Community Involvement Opportunities
