Job SummaryPart-time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant wanted for Southland Rheumatology Center satellite clinic in Willowbrook, IL on FRIDAYS w/ possibility of adding a few hours on Wed or Thurs.
Seeking an experienced and responsible clinician w/ excellent patient care skills and knowledge base, who can work independently as well as in collabration with rheumatologist. Previous experience in rheumatology is preferable. This position emphasizes professionalism, and a commitment to providing excellent outpatient medical care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and assessments.
- Manage rheumatologic conditions by developing individualized treatment plans and monitor medications and disease progression as per standard of care guidelines.
- Educate patients on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes.
- Perform procedures such as joint injections, aspiration, and other minimally invasive interventions using sterile techniques.
- Administer injections and medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems (eClinicalWorks) for documentation, order entry, and patient data management.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives in rheumatology or new therapeutic modalities when applicable.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification.
- Prior experience in clinical rheumatology is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in performing joint injections and/or aspiration or IV infusion management is preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems required.
- Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) for billing purposes and ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) is necessary.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently , while collaborating w/ provider to maintain high standards of patient care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
