Full Job Description

MASA+R is a leading healthcare specialty office committed to delivering exceptional patient care and innovative medical solutions. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

You will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients while working in collaboration with our healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure.

  • Practice allergy for adult and pediatric patients under supervision of the attending physician as directed by the appropriate state laws.
  • Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of healthcare issues in the allergy-immunology specialty to include evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, procedures (pulmonary function testing, skin testing, food challenges, etc.) and follow-up care.
  • Effectively identify, evaluate and address disease prevention of patients in the practice while administering quality patient care.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, and order diagnostic/laboratory tests in accordance with patient’s need.
  • Develop care plans and implement treatment plans based on clinical decisions. Educate patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
  • Maintains legible, accurate and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnosis, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referral and consultations consistent with federal and state regulatory standards.
  • Provide excellent, efficient, and patient-focused service in fast paced practice.
  • Serve as Sub-Investigator on clinical trials and provide exams and procedures according to protocol.
  • Ideal candidates for this position must have:
  • Current Illinois licensure
  • Demonstrate an enthusiasm for team-based approach
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with physician and nursing staff
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Continuing education credits necessary to maintain state licensure
  • CPR certified
  • COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination
  • Willingness to travel to satellite sites and to Investigator meetings
