Full Job Description

Baystate Health, home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region, as well as the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hematology-Oncology team at the D’Amour Cancer Center in Western Massachusetts.

Position Highlights:

  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including hematologists, oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Our fully integrated program includes radiation, gynecologic, and surgical oncology, as well as a dedicated oncology inpatient unit.
  • The ideal candidate will provide care to patients undergoing active treatment, surveillance, follow-ups, sick visits, and coverage of the infusion suite. Educate patients and families about managing side effects and maintaining quality of life.
  • Enjoy practicing with a collegial team that values professional satisfaction and excellent quality of life. Strong mentorship is available, with opportunities to participate in clinical research and contribute to the development of best practices and evidence-based guidelines in hematology and oncology.
  • Full Time, flexible hours with no weekend, evening, or call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Advanced certification in oncology or hematology preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology or a related field; new graduates with a strong clinical background and interest in oncology will be considered.
