Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, and occasionally nursing homes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, proficiency with electronic health records, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality medical services. We are a small Internal Medicine office in Riverside IL looking to hire an APP to help our existing doctor with hospital and clinic. Work will have some on call hours and rotating holidays.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR systems Epic, and eClinicalWorks
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across internal medicine spectrum in a clinical and hospital setting
- Maintain accurate medical records compliant with HIPAA regulations; document CPT and ICD coding for billing purposes
- Educate patients on health coaching topics such as family planning, nutrition, addiction counseling, and post-discharge instructions
Skills
- Working with EMR systems Epic and eclinical works
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation methods
- Background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, infectious disease care or public health is desirable but not mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to work within HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive patient data; experience with medical records management is essential
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; compassionate approach to patient care
